Hi!
The last couple of days, Sidereel suddenly no longer displays correctly in FireFox, my browser of choice. The Sidereel webpages suddenly look like straight text links, no pics, no fancy graphics. Well, maybe there's some color. It's very difficult to navigate and see where things are, and links tend not to work.
I've tried rebooting my Mac, refreshing my browser, deleting cookies, deleting history -- nothing works. JavaScript is enabled. Sidereel displays properly in Camino, Stainless, and Opera, but those aren't particularly good for watching videos. Not as good as Firefox, certainly.
There's no firewall problem or anything like that. This came out of left field last night (1/4/11). Other websites, like icefilms etc, are displaying normally.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hmmm...sometimes an improper css file can get stuck in your browser cache or upstream, like at your ISP. The fact that the site appears fine in other browsers (and in our FF/Mac browsers) seems to indicate something like this. Usually this clears out within a few hours, though. Is it still happening?
What about on Safari? What version of Firefox are you running?
Thanks for reporting this! -

It seems that the past 3 days Sidereel has problems working on Firefox Mozilla!! I think there is a mistake in the code language where it makes it dificult for firefox to read the code !! BUT IT SEEMS THAT SIDEREEL WORK OK ON INTERNET EXPLORER EXECPT TICKING THE WATCH EPISODES!! SO USE "I e"

Since yesterday the site hasn't been fully loading on my computer. The home page only loads partially and every show I try to view only opens with the most recent episode and nothing else. All other sites work properly so I don't think it's my browser.

For the past few days Sidereel hasn't been loading "properly" (Menus and what not aren't showing) and it's starting to concern me. I've tried restarting my computer, browser, etc. and nothing has helped.
I included an image of what it looks like:
Hope someone can help!

Thank you for your patience in helping us diagnose this problem. Can you tell me what happens when you put these urls in your browsers:
http://www.sidereel.com/stylesheets/c...
http://a3.sidereel.com/stylesheets/ca...
Thanks!-
First 1 shows the code second one blank nothing!

Since I've having an identical issue, I'll reply that the first url loads as a screen of text. The second one loads as a blank page.
Also, FYI, I'm operating version 3.6.13 of FF and my wife is operating version 3.6.0 on the same network with the same ISP and she is having no problems.- view 2 more comments

OMFG so ur using OS XP and the browser Firefox v 3.6.13 and ur wife on v3.6.0 which seems that is able to read the code! the problem is not the network is the browser!! and the code that sidereel uses

Yes, obviously there is a problem with the latest version of FF rendering the sidereel page. I'm hoping sidereel can make updates so the page will render properly on firefox. If I have to switch to IE occasionally, so be it, but I'm guessing sidereel would prefer to get their code fixed.

Hi spjevcevic,
The problem should be fixed by now -- have you tried doing a shift+refresh? -

Hi, I've been having the same problem for the last few days both on Safari and Firefox. This is true both on my laptop and on my husband's. If anything loads at all (not always the case) it will just be lines of text, no graphics, videos, etc. -- maybe a couple of photos will show up. The page is forever loading and when I click on a link it takes even longer to load and generally fails to do so.
I've rebooted, cleared the cache, restarted FF in safe mode (nothing to block anything running), no firewalls up. Could Time Warner Cable be blocking the site in some way? Doesn't make sense...-
Hi Noh,
Is SideReel the only site you're having trouble loading? It's strange that you're having the same problem on multiple computers, which is why it sounds a bit like a network issue. Just in case, have you tried doing a shift+refresh? If that still doesn't work, please send over a screenshot! Sorry for the inconvenience in the meantime. -

Im having the same issue as of late on Internet explorer and goggle chrome and its very annoying.
If someone could help me fix it, it would be greatly appreciated-
Hi Luckshan,
Could you please send a screenshot of what you're seeing? If you're seeing this issue across all browsers, it could possibly be a connection problem. -

I am having a similar problem: I can load the page alright, and it looks normal, except only the most current episode shows up, none of the links for any previous episodes show up.. just blank white space. Its been quite a few days now. I usually use Firefox, but I just tried internet explorer and the same issue is happening there.

Hi Rebecca, could you please send a screenshot of this error you're having?

Help! Same issues. Using Firefox 4.01, WinXP Pro pages not loading correctly. Nothing but text making it difficult to navigate. Including finding my link to login.

If doing a shift+refresh doesn't work, send a screenshot over, please! :)

Well I updated Java... then it worked fine for a day... now it is back to being displayed completelly wrong. Can't just be an error on my end if more people are experiencing this problem. So at least any pointers!?

Hi Bliss, this issue is most typically reflective of a stuck cache or a too-slow internet connection.

It should be working again. Try clearing your cache and cookies, and loading the site again. Let us know if you have further issues with it.
Thanks!
