I set up a sidereel account a while a go but i've never been able to get into it!
Every time I try to log on it doesn't come up with an error message like incorrect password or anything, but it just goes back to the page I was on before and i'm not logged in.
I tried re-registering but it says my username and email address are already in use!
What do I do?

That sounds like you just need to enable javascript on your browser so the log in function works properly. Try that, restart your browser, then try logging in again and see if that works better. If you already had javascript enabled or it still doesn't work, let me know what browser and version you're using as that might make a difference as well.

I can't login to sidereel from the main page, or from anywhere for that matter. i have tried clearing my browser cookies and even resetting my password. When I put my username and password into the login box, the page refreshes like normal, but I am still not signed in. My username is "deafmidget"

Hi Ian! Sorry to hear that. According to our system, you were technically able to log in -- try doing a shift+refresh and see if that helps. If not, try going to your profile at http://www.sidereel.com/users and see if you're able to access your profile.

When I clicked the sidereel.com/users link, i was taken to my listings page, but in the top right corner, where it usually has my username displayed after i successfully login, it still gives the option to login or sign up. Sounds to me like a programmer added an extra 1 or 0 somewhere in the html. Hope that gets fixed soon. Thanks for the help Sidereel, I really enjoy your website....well, when I can login! =p

Would like to change the username and password associated with my email so I can start anew. Had trouble when the site updated last year and havent been able to log in to my account and change the setting.

I've had an account through sidereel for ages (not through facebook). I know my email and I'm pretty sure I know my username.
When I go to sidereel.com I get redirected to this page: http://beta.sidereel.com/users/sign_i.... I did that confirmation email 5 times but the "click here to confirm" link doesn't seem to be actually confirming my account. If I click the log in button and fill out my login info it says my info is not correct (I know my password is correct and I've tried logging in using both my email and my username). Can you tell me what's going on? I've tried both Safari and Firefox.

I signed up with my email, and it wont let me login. It says - "Sorry, your information is incorrect. Please try again or create an account or reset your password." - When I try to reset password it says - "We're sorry, but there is no user for that email. Please enter a valid email for a SideReel user." - When I try to sign up, it says that email is already in our system!!!! So I tried to sign up with my other email account - same thing. I have also deleted all my cookies and it still wont let me login. HELP!! I tried signing in with my username and my emal. I didnt sign up with, nor is my account connected to facebook! Also, After creating both my accounts, I confirm account through my email, and it logs me in. Then when I close the webpage, and try to comeback, this is when it happens.

Lots of errors with the site after release of the beta.
1. Unable to login on main page, must go to subsequent page to log in. Problem with popup.
2. The contact form has blended text in Firefox 3.6 such as "Report a problem", "Ask a question" etc. Nothing seems to be deactivated on switching.
3. Numerous javascript errors with unable to find SideReel variable.

I just got an account at Sidereel (septembre 11th) and confirmed my email address as I was told to. When I started using Sidereel everything was fine and I could use the site properly. But when I tried to log in again the next day it said login failed. When I tried to reset my password it said: "We're sorry, but there is no user for that email. Please enter a valid email for a SideReel user." Which is weird since I got the welcome mail on the same email address. How can I fix this? I can still use my account when I click on the link of the 11th in my history. But I would like to use my account on other computers too.

Except a little difference and I hope this info help you correct the problem:)
I am in some regards signed in, even thou I'm always presented with the "signup and Login" options in upper right corner.
Login box won't load most of the time and if it does and I fill in my details it wont process. But if I press signup I'm taken to my listings page, I can go to account details I can change password and so on, but still doesn't change the upper right corner view to my loginname..
I'm using a macbook air (3-4 months old) up to date with all software updates, I'm running this in Chrome and Java is enabled (I even have a good brew of mokka at the side of the computer when watching shows).
only real downside to this problem is that I'm some times presented with the signup add before link page is loading.
I hope this helps the developers and thank you for a great site :)

Thanks so much for the details. We've been experiencing some lingering caching issues since one of our recent updates. Which browser are you using, and have you tried logging in on a different browser in the meantime to see if you have the same issue? -
